Grandma Ashton’s recipe was baked on a regular basis, in her North Lancashire farmhouse kitchen. This crisp gorgeous ginger biscuit is now enjoyed country-wide. If my grandma did but know her recipe is now being enjoyed by her great-great grandchildren. What a history!!

Ingredients: wheat flour(calcium carbonate, iron, nicotinamide, thiamine, sodium carbonate, calcium phosphate), golden syrup, margarine (vegetable oils(palm, rape, palm oil fractions), water, salt) sugar, ground ginger (<1%) raising agent: sodium bicarbonate.
